Plearn LLC (“Plearn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Plearn web application at plearn.ai and related iOS music-education apps (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign in to the Plearn web app, authentication is handled by our identity provider (Zitadel). We receive and store information associated with your account, such as your display name, email address, username, profile picture, and a unique account identifier.

Gameplay and learning data

When you play games or quizzes, we store session data including the topic, game type, difficulty, score, accuracy, streaks, questions presented, and your answers. This data powers your play history, progress tracking, and profile statistics.

User-created content

If you create, edit, or publish quizzes, we store the content you provide (titles, topics, categories, questions, and pricing) along with related metadata such as play counts and ratings.

Virtual coins and purchases

We maintain a record of your virtual coin balance, coin transactions (such as purchases, spending, and grants), and purchases of quizzes or games from the store. When you buy coin packages, payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card details.

Technical and usage information

We may automatically collect standard log and device information when you access the Service, such as browser type, operating system, IP address, and pages or features used. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Authenticate you and manage your account
• Save your game history and display your profile and statistics
• Process virtual coin transactions and store purchases
• Host, display, and distribute user-created quizzes you choose to publish
• Generate AI-powered games and quiz content based on topics you provide
• Respond to support requests and communicate about the Service

How We Share Information

• Published content — if you publish a quiz to the store, your display name and quiz content will be visible to other users.

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third parties that have their own privacy policies:

• Zitadel — handles sign-in and account authentication for the web app.
• Stripe — processes payments for coin package purchases.
• Apple App Store— our iOS music apps are distributed through Apple; purchases and account data in those apps may be subject to Apple's privacy practices.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers. Plearn is not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and associated data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Game history, quiz content, and transaction records may be kept to support your use of the Service and for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and legal compliance.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business needs (for example, completed payment records).

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Request a portable copy of your data
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
